Master of Science Degree
The
M.S. degree program is designed for students to gain advanced
knowledge for research, analysis, and design in mechanical
engineering. Students pursuing an M.S. degree may choose
one of three options:
Option A Thesis - Completion of 24 course
credits and the submission of a thesis (6 credits) to the
Graduate School (for more details on Option A, click
here), OR
Option
B Paper – Completion
of 30 course credits and the submission of a technical
paper to the department (for more details on Option B, click
here), OR
Option
C Ph.D. Thesis Proposal – A
student who has passed the Ph.D. Candidacy Exam may submit
a written dissertation research proposal and complete 30
course credits (for more details on Option C, click
here).
