Financial Support
Nuclear Engineering students
are eligible for a number of grants, fellowships, and assistantships
provided by the federal government, industry and Penn State. The
University welcomes external fellowships provided by the
funding agencies provided in the following list and administers
and supplements fellowships provided by the National Academy
for Nuclear Training (NANT). For your convenience,
we have compiled a list of some of the most prestigious fellowships that
are offered in the nation. Should you be selected
for one of these awards, it would strengthen your graduate
application with our program as the department looks quite
favorably on these awards.
The department also awards a number of teaching and research assistantships to
qualified students. Competition for support is extremely keen; However,
outstanding students are considered for attractive additional offers of support,
including fellowships specifically for new students in the College of Engineering.
You must complete the NucE Application for Graduate Assistantship to be considered
for any financial support from the Department or College. To receive full consideration for financial
aid, all application materials should be submitted by January 15.
