Prof. Sharp teaches the following fluids courses in the Department of Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering.

ME320 (Fluid Flow, undergraduate),
ME521 (Foundations of Fluid Mechanics I, graduate),
ME522 (Foundations of Fluid Mechanics II, graduate)

Her active teaching webpages can be accessed by currently enrolled students via PSU’s ANGEL course management system. In addition, she offered a new three-hour course, Micro and Nanoscale Science and Engineering in the Larger World (ME/STS497J) , in Spring 2007. This course explored the social and political context surrounding the emerging area of micro and nanoscale science and engineering. Students considered: the societal and ethical implications of research and development (R&D); the impact of public policy on both R&D infrastructure and R&D direction; the status of the U.S. R&D enterprise within an international context; and the media portrayal and public perception of science. The course culminated with a field trip to Washington DC, to meet with professional staff from the U.S. Senate, university government affairs offices, and the Project on Emerging Nanotechnologies at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars.
