Mechanical engineering's
Marsh wins advancing manufacturing award
University Park, Pa. — Eric
Marsh, professor of mechanical engineering, has
been named the winner of the Charles F. Carter, Jr. Advancing
Manufacturing Award.
The honor is given by the Association for Manufacturing
Technology's (AMT) Technology Issues Committee to a U.S.
faculty member for research in advanced manufacturing and
mentoring and training students.
The award is named for Charles F. Carter, Jr., a retired
AMT vice president. Marsh will receive his award at this
year’s National Center for Manufacturing Sciences-AMT
Technology Forum in Orlando, Fla.
Marsh has been a member of the Penn State faculty since
1994. In 1998 he won the Penn State Engineering Society's
Outstanding Teaching Award.
