Mechanical engineering's Marsh wins advancing manufacturing award
Eric Marsh

University Park, Pa. — Eric Marsh, professor of mechanical engineering, has been named the winner of the Charles F. Carter, Jr. Advancing Manufacturing Award.

The honor is given by the Association for Manufacturing Technology's (AMT) Technology Issues Committee to a U.S. faculty member for research in advanced manufacturing and mentoring and training students.

The award is named for Charles F. Carter, Jr., a retired AMT vice president. Marsh will receive his award at this year’s National Center for Manufacturing Sciences-AMT Technology Forum in Orlando, Fla.

Marsh has been a member of the Penn State faculty since 1994. In 1998 he won the Penn State Engineering Society's Outstanding Teaching Award.
