Nuclear Engineering Student, James Spring,
Receives Award from ASME, Nuclear Engineering
Division - Spring is a first year Penn
State graduate student in Nuclear Engineering
who received his BS degrees in Nuclear Engineering
and Mechanical Engineering from Penn State in
the concurrent Majors program. Spring prepared
and submitted a paper entitled “Rod Bundle
Heat Transfer – Steady-State Steam Cooling
Experiments” which described work he had
performed as part of the Penn State/US Nuclear
Regulatory Commission Rod Bundle Heat Transfer
Program. The paper submitted by Spring was selected
as one of the best peer reviewed papers and he
attended the conference.
There was also a separate judging for the best
presentation for each of the student sessions. Spring
also won the best presentation in his session at
