Objectives

· Designing a reliable seal system to accommodate redial movements due to thermal expansion and contraction.

· Mating a welded pressure vessel assembly with tolerances on the order of 5/16" (total), ovality up to 1% on diameter, and ledge waviness up to ¼" total.

· Ability of seal to operate with composite/sandwich or fabricated support screen designs as shown in the figure attached.
