The Athens, PA facility manufactures air impact tools that encompass eighty percent of its total manufacturing at the site. The area under investigation is the 2112 assembly line, which produces 3/8" air impact wrenches.

Problem Ingersoll-Rand is experiencing inefficiencies with the 2112 assembly line. Objective To improve the 2112 assembly line so that it efficiently maximizes production while addressing ergonomic concerns.
