Welcome! To the homepage for ME415W group Advanced Medical Solutions.

     This is a group of Mechanical Engineering students working on a research project sponsored by Dr. JC Trussell from Hershey Medical Center and the Penn State University Mechanical Engineering department.

     The purpose of the project was to assist Dr. Trussell with his current reversible vas deferens occlusion device (reversible vasectomy device) with the following areas:

- create a 'non-rigid' occlusion device through biomaterial section

- practical attachment of device to vas/lumen muscle structure

- manufacturing outline to create the device

- complete engineering analysis and testing procedure of the design
