All material was available at
the Learning Factory except for a a sheet of Aluminum. The
Aluminum purchased was needed for the CAMS and cost $28.43.
New Pig
to Manufacture
The price for implementation of the new design is $5.50 over the cost of
the current design The number was determined using the data from
Table 1, which lists the total bulk price of materials, and the amount
of material that was used for the prototype. (Table 2) The cost data
for the bulk material was supplied by New Pig's current manufacturer.
New Pig's customers will also see approximately a 7% increase in shipping
& handling due to the increase in weight. (Table 3) The increase
amounts to under $1.00.
