Engineering Wages:  The compensation rate for engineering services is $35 per hour.  An estimate of ten hours per week, for each of the four engineers in the LionProbe group was used to calculate this figure.  This project was scheduled to last thirteen weeks. 

Fringe:  Fringe includes the costs that accrue in addition to the engineering wages.  These costs include training, benefits, etc.  An estimate of 15% of the total engineering wages was used to calculate this figure. 

Overhead:  Overhead costs include fees for lab use, utilities, consultation services, management salaries, etc.  This figure was estimated to be 40% of the engineering wages and fringe combined. 

Parts:  This is the calculated cost of parts that have been used to build the prototype and other necessary materials.  A full list of all parts, costs, and vendor information can be seen below. 

Allowable Profit Margin:  This is a cushion in case of unforeseen circumstances that might add cost to the overall estimate.  In this case, an estimate of 10% of the total project cost was used.
