Microprocessor

The central feature of the implementation is the microprocessor.  The microprocessor used to control the HPP will also be used as the main flight computer so a high number of input/output ports, fast clock speed, and a substantial system memory are required.  The selected microprocessor for the mission is the Intel StrongArm SA1110 on board a German evaluation board from SSV.  This is an extremely low-power, high speed processor with flight heritage aboard a few nanosatellites.
