PORTABLE ELECTRO-FISHER BACKPACK UNIT
At the request of the United States Geological Survey (USGS) and in conjunction with the Pennsylvania State University Undergraduate Department of Electrical Engineering, our senior design project was to re-engineer a portable backpack electro-fisher unit to meet our sponsor, Dr. Robert Carline's specific specifications. The portable backpack electro-fisher is widely used to humanely and successfully capture fish inhabiting soft water, low conductive streams in northern central Pennsylvania.
