Project Overview

To better facilitate leaning among 5th and 6th grade students, Northrop Grumman Corproation sponsored a project to build a traveling science cart in conjunction with Penn State University Engineering students.

• Design and Construct a Lightweight Transportable Cart

• Make Handicap Accessible

• Design and Produce 5th and 6th Grade Experiments

• Integrate Experiments into Cart

• Provide Instruction Manual for Experiments

• Work in Conjunction with The National Federation of The Blind in Design of the Experiments

• Cart with Four Locking Casters

• Constructed of Light weight Wood for Ease of Transport

• Four Door Cabinet With Shelf for Storage of Experiments

• Removable Leafs for Added Counter Space

• Sink with Catch Basin for Waste Disposal

• Mulitple Experiments Designed with the NFB in Mind

• Experiment Manual with Lesson Plans and Procedure
