The purpose of this project is to determine the design limitations of our current aluminum bracket and apply that bracket to other equipment to enhance FMC Technologies, Inc. position in the market.

1. Conduct testing and perform calculations to determine loads on bracket.
2. Develop 3-D model of bracket.
3. Perform FEA on bracket to determine static and dynamic stresses.
4. Conduct testing to correlate FEA results.
5. Make recommendations for future design change to allow for other more heavily loaded applications.
