Product Realization Minor
An Undergraduate Minor in the College of Engineering

The 21 credit Product Realization Minor consists of nine credits of core courses:

Twelve additional credits must be completed, including:

  • Nine credits in Product Design, Quality Engineering, and Manufacturing Processes: Product development courses, quality engineering courses, and laboratory-oriented manufacturing process courses approved by the Professor in charge of the Minor. Example courses include: IE 305, IE 306, IE 307, IE 311, IE312, IE424, IE428, IE464, ME 340, ME 445, EE 310, EE 418.

  • Three credit Senior Project: Team-based design or industrial projects course, as approved by the Professor in charge of the Minor. Example courses include: IE 480W, ME 440W, ME 441W, EE 403W.

  • Students must obtain a C or better in the specified courses to satisfy the requirements for the Minor.
Students wishing to enroll in the Product Realization Minor must meet pre-requisite requirements for each course. They must also complete the Entrance to Minor Application Form.

Students are encouraged to visit the Minor by Major page to help them select courses within their major to fulfill the minor.
