 Grading


This is a reading and speaking course. You should plan to read 700+ pages of material (a lot). Part of the intent of the course is to improve your critical thinking/ critical reading, and critical writing skills. Homework will also be given to reinforce concepts from class.

Each student will be called on twice in class on RANDOM days during the semester. You may have a maximum of 2 byes during the semester. They must be declared before class. (Points for answer 10 - excellent response; 8 - good response; 6 - fair; 4 - weak; 0 - no idea)
