Senior Recognition Banquet

You are invited to participate in the Department of Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering's Senior Recognition Banquet, which recognizes some of our outstanding mechanical and nuclear engineering seniors. Please join us at the banquet to honor these students and to provide them the benefit of your own career experiences.

When: Wednesday, March 22, 2017, from 5:00-8:00 p.m.
Where: Nittany Lion Inn, 200 Park Ave., State College, PA 16803

Attend and/or sponsor student attendance: $40 per person
Sponsor a table of ten: $400

More About the Banquet

Our annual MNE Senior Recognition Banquet is held each spring semester to recognize some of our graduating seniors and to allow them to network with alumni. The following awards are distributed at the banquet: the Thomas Briggs Hunter Memorial Award for Student Leadership in Mechanical Engineering, the Dr. John P. Karidis Department Head's Award for Research Achievement in Mechanical Engineering, the Boeing Outstanding Mechanical Engineering Junior Award, the John J. Brennan Excellence in Nuclear Engineering Award, and the Beecher Loftus Leadership & Service Award in Nuclear Engineering.



The Department of Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering at Penn State is one of the nation’s largest and most successful engineering departments. We serve more than 1,000 undergraduate students and more than 330 graduate students

We offer B.S. degrees in mechanical engineering and nuclear engineering as well as resident (M.S., Ph.D.) and online (M.S., M.Eng.) graduate degrees in nuclear engineering and mechanical engineering. MNE's strength is in offering hands-on experience in highly relevant research areas, such as energy, homeland security, biomedical devices, and transportation systems.
